We Did It!
For those that may not have heard, Charles Francis, Russ Stephenson, and Kay Crowder have announced they will not seek a runoff, so Mary-Ann Baldwin, Jonathan Melton, and Saige Martin will be sworn in as the new Mayor and Council Members along with David Knight and Patrick Buffkin on December 2nd! Thanks to all the outgoing council members for their service, but I am ready to get to work with this new generation of leadership.
I want to thank again everyone that supported me when I was running and for your continued engagement to help make this new slate of leadership a reality. I do not think it is hyperbole for me to say this is one of the best days of my life. Not just because something I have been working towards for a year has become a reality, but the city I love and have chosen to call home will now be led by people that truly represent me as Raleigh has officially elected TWO members of the LGBTQ community! This is truly a historic day for Raleigh and something we should be proud of!
Now is time for a little celebrating, but soon the real work begins. I can't wait to get to work with this new council to start shaping Raleigh's future into something that everyone can be proud of!

When I decided I wanted to run for City Council last Fall, I did so because I wanted to get Russ out of
My hope is that by not running, the chances that a remaining candidate can consolidate enough votes to beat Russ will be greater, and I will be freed up to help some candidates in other races unseat other incumbents. You will still find me very involved in this election and I plan to find ways to stay involved in shaping
I want to thank everyone that has supported me over the last several months. I have met many amazing and dedicated people that want to see Raleigh grow in the best possible way. The money left in my campaign will be given to other candidates running for Council.
Speaking of other candidates, below is who I will be supporting. Some races have more than 1 good person running, but part of my decision is based on who has the best chance of winning.
Mayor: Mary-Ann Baldwin. Charles Francis lost my consideration when he backed Stef Mendell and David Cox. While Caroline would probably do a fine job, I feel Mary-Ann has a

Robbie says "I'm not in this race because of my age or because I'm part of the LGBT community. I'm here because I see problems (housing, infrastructure, equity) that I have the experience and knowledge to help address. It's icing on the cake that I can bring perspectives not currently on Council."
